Northsong Wild Bird Rehabilitation trains and utilizes volunteers to assist us in promoting avian rehabilitation and conservation in the Northwest Arkansas region. Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of a 3 hour shift a week to ensure congruency of care. Volunteer opportunities are centered around patient husbandry and care. Volunteers should expect to assist with cleaning tasks, feeding tasks, and additional assignments as instructed. Volunteers will not engage with birds on a daily basis, as human interactions significantly increase patient stress and can reduce rehabilitation success.
